Description
LOT 41 War memorabilia. Siren. Akril,
Sergey Kornievsky
22 x 28 cm, 2023
The artist created a unique painting masterpiece literally on the Artifacts of War. But first, a bit of history – it all started when our heroic soldiers collected from the very heat of battle the lids of the transport and launch containers of the Ukrainian S-300 air defense systems, which are knocked out during the launch of a missile, and these lids became an unusual basis for real paintings. By the way, all the artifacts were directly used by our artillery soldiers during combat operations to protect the Ukrainian sky.
All funds raised through the sale of works during the exhibition and auction will go to support the military, who are regularly supported by the Cossack Drive charity foundation.
Serhiy Kornievsky. The artist is a lover of life and an experimenter. He emphasizes the importance of expressive brushstrokes with provocative color mixing, laying down light and shadow at the same time. The artist seems to be studying the relationship between traditional figuration and abstract concepts. Serhiy paints pictures, conveying meaning through visual language, often with a kind irony that hides the true meaning of the event. Its ease of execution is recognizable, but behind it we still feel the emotional work, passion, and dedication to our favorite work. As with many other artists, this year’s themes have changed somewhat. Our realities are also reflected in a series of works dedicated to our everyday life in Kyiv.
