Description
LOT 51 Tatiana Rusetska From the series “Rushnyky Peremogy”.
Acrylic. 57 x 62 cm, painted in 2023.
The artist created a unique painting masterpiece literally on the Artifacts of War. But first, a bit of history – it all started when our heroic soldiers collected from the very heat of battle the lids of the transport and launch containers of the Ukrainian S-300 air defense systems, which are knocked out during the launch of a missile, and these lids became an unusual basis for real paintings. By the way, all the artifacts were directly used by our artillery soldiers during combat operations to protect the Ukrainian sky.
All funds raised through the sale of works during the exhibition and auction will go to support the military, who are regularly supported by the Cossack Drive charity foundation.
Tatiana Rusetska is an artist working in the genre of mystical ethnoromanticism, and she defines for herself the niche of art that is close to her. The artist is attracted to the theme of Ukrainian folk art, the rich colors of embroidered towels, bright intricate patterns of women’s festive shawls, naive and simple images of folk icons. Tetiana’s paintings are mainly pictorial and decorative, although at the beginning of her career Tetiana took an active part in exhibitions as a graphic artist. Tetiana considers herself a Ukrainian artist not in the formal sense, but in essence, because her interest lies in the plane of national self-identification, although this does not prevent her from feeling like a person of the world, freely combining seemingly incompatible things with multicultural significance in her works. Currently lives and works in Kyiv
