Description
LOT 80 Brooch-artifact “Airplane” with fragments of the fuselage of the legendary Mriya airplane
The limited edition of the “dream revenge” jewelry with the wreckage of the fuselage of the destroyed Mriya aircraft includes 2 artifact brooches – Turbine and Airplane. They are a continuation of the story of the majestic plane, which ended on February 27, 2022, in Gostomel.
The Airplane artifact brooch reproduces the silhouette of Mriya. The design uses the most recognizable angle of the airplane, as seen at presentations and captured in photos around the world. The authors added a trident-shaped limb to it.
A piece of the fuselage of the legendary plane was donated by paramedic Galina Almazova, who, together with her unit, repelled fierce attacks on the airport and took care of the wounded. “When I left Gostomel, I didn’t know what would happen next, but I was prepared for anything. At the last moment, she took with her the small wreckage of a large airplane as the heart of the whole of Ukraine.
The AN-225 Mriya is the world’s largest aircraft of Ukrainian origin, created in 1988 to meet the transportation needs of the Soviet space program by the Kyiv-based Antonov Design Bureau.
Project idea : Tatiana Goncharova,
The design of the brooches is a joint development of art director Marina Frolova and the Karpenko Jewelry brand.
